Forest Visit Information

Attention hikers!

When organizing and carrying out its forestry and wildlife management activities, Vérteserdő Zrt. always pays special attention to disturbing the routes favored by hikers and trekkers as little as possible. It is important for us to continuously maintain the accessibility of freely accessible forest public welfare facilities and to preserve their orderly condition.

In some cases, however, the crossing of routes is unavoidable. At the same time, even in such cases, we strive to use tourist paths – in accordance with previous practice – only to the extent and duration absolutely necessary, for example, during logging operations. During continuous work, we will place attention-grabbing signs and markers on the affected section, and we will also try to schedule daily work so that the public welfare trails are safely usable at the end of the day. This is particularly true for work performed before weekends, as they are expected to be most heavily visited on weekends.

For the convenience of forest visitors, Vérteserdő Zrt. informs visitors in a timely manner on its own website, with a specifically created menu item and content, about activities taking place in certain areas and any related visiting restrictions.

Az current, valid, forest and wildlife management related forest visit informationat a news will be published in the menu item. The hunting management facilities (e.g., high seats) owned by Vérteserdő Zrt. exclusively serve the purposes of hunting management tasks, and their use is only permitted in connection therewith.

As a result of increased forest tourism, the Forest Management is burdened with more and more maintenance and restoration obligations, therefore From January 1, 2024 will be introduced forest maintenance contribution. Of course, the revenue generated from this will be used for the development of ecotourism and the maintenance of the forest ecosystem, which are of mutual interest. Please read the General Information below, and send your questions or requests to the titkarsag@verteserdo.hu email address.

We are grateful to all those who promote the public services of forests, and who look out for their fellow human beings and the forest ecosystem while hiking!
