If you're interested in the wonderful lights and sounds of the arboretum at night, join us! This is one of the most interesting and exciting phenomena of the summer, which can be experienced in fewer and fewer places. The garden's water habitats and undisturbed green spaces offer refuge for the mating beetles, so this wonder is mostly observable in the arboretum. If you would like to learn more about the lifestyle, diet, and reproduction of the common glow-worm (Lampyris noctiluca), join our guided tours, but you can also wander the area on your own! In addition to the swarm, the late afternoon ambiance of the garden, the lights, the birdsong, and the sounds of the evening forest are exciting. This special atmosphere enchants and recharges you. Here's some important information regarding who not to call our colleagues:• No registration is required for the program; tickets can be purchased on-site and only with cash!• The gathering is uniformly between 8:30 PM and 8:45 PM on the announced days at the arboretum entrance. It is not possible to admit anyone arriving earlier or later!• The program begins at 9:00 PM, starting with information and a presentation, followed by a walk.We close the cafe at 11 PM! Please head to the exit 15 minutes prior.• Due to the arboretum's special microclimate and the evening timing, do not set out without warm clothes, a raincoat, and waterproof shoes!• Flashlights can be brought, but only used when necessary!• There is no cafe operating in the arboretum, and there is no drinking water, but there are restrooms!• When planning, consider that if you don't arrive on time, you may find parking further away!• Please leave your pets at home this time!• Tick prevention is individually recommended!• Strictly protected nature reserve, please observe the written and unwritten rules of staying in the forest; we are guests!We cannot predict the intensity of the swarm in advance!We don't know in advance if it will rain on the day in question, but it's certain that the insects' mating will not be canceled even if it rains!
