In the embrace of nature, we offer an optimal location for small conferences, team building courses, meetings, trainings, corporate events and various family events. The conference room is perfectly suitable for up to 80 people for the aforementioned and other gatherings.
The guest house is child-friendly with a wooden playground, streetball court, football pitch, bicycles, table football and billiards. Outdoor barbecue and cooking facilities are available for all events.
Those who come here can enjoy beautiful surroundings, a cozy atmosphere, the magic of the forest and fresh air from the moment they arrive. The castle's courtyard is the starting point for the 7 km long nature trail and the 18 km long horse riding trail. A popular feature of the green zone is the small fairytale-like waterfall where the mill wheel once stood, and the wildlife observation area where fallow deer, roe deer, wild boar and mouflon greet guests.
Pusztavám is located in Fejér county, in the heart of the Győr- Budapest- Székesfehérvár triangle. The Swabian village is located 80 km from the capital at the foot of the Vértes Mountains, which provides a picturesque setting for visitors. The hunting lodge, converted from a former water mill, is located in a part of the town where the forest is just a stone's throw away. In 2006 the building was renovated and converted into the present-day pension.
Several famous families are linked to the history of the pension. In the early 1900s, the forests of Mór and Pusztavám, including the mill on the site of the hunting lodge, belonged to Mrs. Frigyes Trattenberg, widow. After a lost lawsuit, it passed into the hands of Oszkár Haggenmacher, a well-known name in beer circles, who, being a passionate hunter, had it converted into a hunting lodge and extended in 1938. It was at this time that a picture of the mill was painted on the east gable wall of the main building, which is still in its original form.

From the castle courtyard, the 9 km Malomerdő trail starts, which can be easily covered on foot, by all-terrain stroller or horse. The small fairytale-like waterfall where the mill wheel used to stand is a popular feature of the green zone, as is the wildlife observation area in the Vértes, where fallow deer and mouflons greet guests.
The main building of the guest house, the hunting lodge, can accommodate 20 guests in 1-2-3 person rooms with private bathrooms. The restaurant, with its special atmosphere and hunting trophies, does not operate a la carte, so reservations are required in advance. In the beginning we served classic Hungarian cuisine to our Austrian, Swiss, German and Japanese guests. This is still our main focus, but we are happy to venture into international gastronomy and, as a hunting lodge, we always have game meat in the fridge. We pay special attention to healthy living and the origin of our ingredients. All the ingredients are sourced locally by the manager of the guesthouse and are always fresh, local and possibly from the surrounding villages. The forest offers an abundance of forest by-products, so forest fruits and mushrooms are often on the menu.
As part of the pension, the separate farmhouse was completely renovated inside and out by the spring of 2022 thanks to the Téry Ödön National Tourist House Development Programme. This has added a further 14 beds to the accommodation. At the same time, a community wine cellar was completed, which also offers excellent facilities for our guests.
